| Bradley J. Campbell President, CSI Brad brings more than 20 years of senior health care experience to the company. Prior to joining Corpus-Sanchez, Brad was Associate Director of the Hay Health Care Consulting Group where he led the practice’s strategic planning assignments across the country. Brad also had regional responsibilities, leading most of Hay’s assignments in British Columbia. Prior to joining the Hay Group, Brad worked at Vancouver Hospital & Health Sciences Centre as Corporate Director, Strategic Initiatives. In this position, he was a member of the senior executive team and was responsible for leading the hospital’s strategic planning process as well as all reengineering initiatives. He was also integrally involved in the merger of Vancouver General and UBC Hospitals. Brad also held the position of Administrative Director for the Clinical Unit of Medicine during his tenure at VHHSC, one of seven Clinical Practice Units at the hospital, with annual resources of more than $20 million. Brad has also worked at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre in Toronto, the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, University Hospital in Vancouver and the Halifax Infirmary Hospital in Halifax. Brad earned his Masters in Health Services Administration and Bachelor of Commerce degrees at Dalhousie University.
Katherine Vestal, Ph.D. Executive Vice President & Principal, CSI Kathie is Executive Vice President and a Principal with Corpus Sanchez International, leading consulting assignments in the US and supporting Canadian clients in the areas of strategy development, work innovation and operations analysis and improvement. Kathie is an accomplished senior executive with extensive leadership experience in healthcare and a broad array of business skills. Her successful career has included positions as senior executive of patient care operations, managing partner in healthcare operations consulting practice, and active member of university faculty. Prior to entering consulting in 1990, Kathie held numerous senior positions in health care including executive positions at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago and roles in the Hermann Hospital system in Houston, Texas. One of her jobs in Houston was as Executive Director of the Hermann Children’s Hospital, a hospital within a hospital, and an integral part of Hermann Hospital Medical Center. She is highly regarded as a decisive, results oriented leader with proven analytical skills, ability to design and deliver a plan of action in a timely and successful manner and is noted for capabilities to identify talent, build and lead excellent high performing teams, and to function collaboratively with a wide variety of constituents. Kathie has a Ph. D. in business management, an MS in Paediatrics and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She completed post-doctoral studies in economics and was a Johnson & Johnson Fellow at the Wharton School of Finance.
Nash Syed Senior Vice President & Partner, CSI As Senior VP, Nash leads our Perioperative and Solutions Engineering practices across the country and works directly with a number of clients as client engagement manager. Nash has led a number of strategic and business planning exercises in addition to over 100 redesign consulting engagements for clinical and administrative processes that include both assessment and implementation. Nash was most recently an Engagement Manager at Courtyard Group and prior to that, the Manager of Solutions Engineering at HealthLink and a Consultant at the HayGroup. He has helped a number of health related organizations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of critical processes by improving how people, technology, process and systems work together. Nash has excellent facilitation, project management, data collection and analysis skills. Prior to joining Corpus Sanchez, Nash provided consulting services to hospitals in the areas of performance measurement and decision support. Nash has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering and earned his Masters of Business Administration with a specialization in Health Services and Information Systems.
Jane Darville Vice President, CSI Jane provides consulting support in the areas of strategic planning, organizational effectiveness, program management and community / health system integration. Previously, Jane was Executive Director of Canuck Place, Children's Hospice, the first and only free standing Children’s Hospice in North America. Prior to this, she was a founding Board member of Toronto's Casey House Hospice, an AIDS Hospice, where she also served as Executive Director in the early 90s. Jane also has experience as a Vice President of Clinical Services at York Central Hospital in Richmond Hill and has held management positions with the home care program for Metropolitan Toronto and the Ontario Ministry of Health. During her tenure in Ontario, she also served as an advocacy commissioner with the Ontario government. Jane earned her Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University, and her Bachelor of Administrative Studies from York University (Atkinson College). She also earned a Diploma in Public Health Nursing from the University of Windsor. She is a Registered Nurse, and a member of the Canadian College of Health Service Executives. Jane was awarded the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal in 2003 for her significant contributions to Canada, the community and fellow Canadians. She was previously awarded the Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary for the Confederation of Canada (1992) by the Governor General in recognition of significant contribution to the community and Canada.
Dr. Robert (Bob) Bear Senior Physician Strategist Dr. Bear brings a strong background as both an academic and a hospital executive to this assignment. He has held numerous positions with the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta including Vice-Dean, Associate Dean, Clinical Affairs and Director of the Post-Graduate Nephrology Training Program. His executive roles include Executive Vice President, Chief Clinical Officer at the Capital Health Authority in Edmonton and Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. He now heads his own health care consulting company and advises health systems and hospitals across Canada. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the Canadian Medical Association and the Alberta Medical Association. He has been a past member of the American Society of Nephrology, the Canadian Society of Nephrology, and the Canadian Society of Physician Executives. He is author or co-author of more than 140 articles. Dr. Bear earned his Medical Degree at University of Toronto and did his residency training in Nephrology at St. Michael’s Hospital and Boston City Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He completed a Clinical Fellowship at the New England Medical Centre and Tufts University in Boston.
David Matheson , M.D., FRCPC , MA (Math) Senior Physician Strategist Dr. Matheson brings academic and clinical experience as well as a hospital administrative perspective. Dr. Matheson spent eight years as the Vice President of Medicine for British Columbia's Children's Hospital (BCCH) and later became the Vice President of Strategic and Clinical Services for 3 merging organizations, BCCH, B.C. Women's and Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children. He has published articles in basic and clinical research and in administration. Dr. Matheson has also been involved with several projects for medical administration, program evaluations and planning in healthcare and academic areas, mediation for clients and acting executive positions across Western Canada, including the Interim Vice President, Medical Affairs and then the Interim Vice President, Quality for Fraser Health Authority, one of the largest health authorities in Canada. He continues to have a small involvement with education via UBC and in CHSRF sponsored EXTRA program. Dr. Matheson has been educated in mathematics and medicine. He has a B.Sc. (HONS) in Mathematics from the University of Calgary; a Masters Degree in Mathematics in Combinatorics and Optimization, University of Waterloo; an M.D. from the University of Calgary; Paediatric training in Calgary and Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto; and Immunology training at Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto.
Dean Malone Senior Consultant and Project Manager Dean brings 20 years of experience in operations planning and project management, in the corporate, non-profit, and health care sectors. Dean is also currently President and CEO of a Vancouver-based home health care company. Prior to joining the Corpus Sanchez team, Dean was the Director of Development for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation, leading the organization to unprecedented fiscal growth. Prior to the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation, Dean was a member of the development team at Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, and was the lead team member in developing financial and operating strategies and processes for the foundation. Since 1999, Dean has also been a member of the psychiatric nursing care team at UBC Hospital in Vancouver BC. In addition to Dean’s experience in health care organizations, he spent 8 years within a federal crown corporation as a Business Planning Advisor, Restructuring and Recovery Advisor, Property Manager, and Staffing & Employee Relations Consultant.
Sandra Bressler Senior Consultant Sandra provides consulting support in the areas of professional practice, operational improvement, organizational effectiveness, and program management. Previously, Sandra was Director of Director of Therapy, Communication Development, Speech Pathology and Audiology at the BC Children’s and BC Women’s Hospitals in Vancouver. Her last role at BCCH and BCWH culminated a career with this organization that spanned 25 years. Prior to that, Sandra worked in related positions in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Ontario. In addition to consulting, Sandra continues to be active with her national and provincial professional associations and is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the School of Rehabilitation Sciences within the UBC Faculty of Medicine. Throughout her career she has been a frequent presenter at professional and managerial conferences. Sandra earned her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at McGill University in Montreal and her Master of Arts in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University in Victoria. She has received a Fellowship Award from the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists in 2004.
